Kai-Anya Foods Inc. is a full–blown agri-aqua food solutions company. With more than 30 years of experience in the food & beverage industry, we provide quality marine products (e.g. seafooods, seashells, etc.) to hotels, restaurants, institutions and retailers.

Complying to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards, Kai-anya is also Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) certified and is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Company Highlights

Established in 1982, Kai-Anya Foods, Inc. was first known as Mameng Fishing Industry. It started as a small business and was initially engaged in the operation and maintenance of fish pens. It was Mrs. Carmelita “Mameng” Manlapaz who became the forerunner in the set up of this company. With the help of her friends and business associates.

Its inception was as an offshoot in the establishment of St. Joseph Group, Inc. a company founded and owned by Warlito and Carmelita Manlapaz, formerly a corporate business executive and a school teacher, respectively. The entrepreneurial spirit of this couple was into the operation of fish brokerage stalls.

In 1994, the company diversified into the wholesale and retail if fresh and frozen seafood varieties. It was then renamed to Ming Trading Corporation.

With the thrust of growing further its operations, Ming Trading Corporation penetrated the business of repacking and processing of fresh and frozen seafood products in 1999.

In 2000, the company started its export business. Its export experience and competence paved the way in providing high quality milkfish, cuttlefish, and octopus to international markets of USA, Australia, Canada, Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Puerto Rico, and Dominical Republic. It carried and boasted of its two main export brands namely Octo King and Bangus King.

At present, the company’s focus is on addressing the needs of its business partners and clients by offering solutions to its discerning domestic wholesale and institutional market, specifically among the chain of fast food restaurants.
